One really awesome meditation you can do (preferably in the morning before starting your day) is called a “breathing meditation”. It can be about a 15-minute meditation, but it can be done for less or for more than 15 minutes. You can do it either while sitting or lying down. Do whatever feels most comfortable for you.
So this is how it goes: Begin with taking a breath in (deep or not deep, whatever feels right for you in the moment), hold that breath in for a few seconds and slowly let it out. As you do this, focus on your breath and allow whatever thoughts you have to flow, acknowledge them and let them be. If you’re not used to meditating, you may experience falling asleep the first few times, until you get used to it, then it may become more interesting and insightful for you.
The breathing (& guided) meditations I do with my clients are usually less than 15 minutes. I guide them on a positive emotional journey while they focus on their breathing and acknowledge what is being communicated to them through their internal guidance system.
