The best way to have a productive day is first to recognize that you are the creator of the type of day that you have, and the world will support you in having that kind of day that you create. A good first step to having a productive day is when you are still in bed in the morning, imagine that you are getting into bed that night. What feelings would you like to be feeling about your day at that time?
Then, step into the feelings. So maybe you would like to feel accomplished, that you were in all the right places at all the right times, purposeful, healthy, had great conversations, and were particularly connected to yourself. There you have it—you just set a feeling destination for your day. Now it is your job to present some physical suggestions only as options. What you are doing is checking with yourself if this is on the way to the destination that you just set. If the options that you suggest feel good, then act on them because they are on the way to your destination.
