The age-old question... How to tell your future. Is it possible?
Yes... You can tell your future because you create your future. It is true you can't control your circumstances, but you can control your thinking. Your thinking is responsible for your outcome, regardless of the circumstances. Your future is not dependent on circumstances, your future is formed by how you respond to your circumstances. The key to success is your belief in your future. Your belief is a result of your thinking. Your belief results in your action. Your outcome is your experience.
You create experiences with every action. Every experience is a learning opportunity. How you handle the opportunity is paramount to learning how to handle more opportunities. Your thinking determines if the opportunity becomes an excuse to be a victim or a reason to be a victor. The decision to become a victim or a victor is yours. You make the choice which is determined by your thoughts.
There are 4 principles to set your future in motion:
1. Think about your future as if it is in the past.
This principle takes discipline. Discipline is doing what you should do, when you should do it whether you feel like it or not. You need to think about your goals and where you want to be as if you are already there. Focus on every detail. Imagine your dreams without restriction. Think about your future as it you are experiencing it. Don't be afraid to reach for the stars. It is important to see your future before you arrive. This is also a Biblical principle. In Philippians 4:8, Paul says " Finally, brothers, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things."
2. Believe that your future is yours.
Your thoughts will become your beliefs. What we consistently think about we will become. The importance of positive thinking can't be overstated. You become what you believe. As you think about your future as past, you will begin to believe your future belongs to you. When you believe your future is yours, confidence grows, discipline is a habit, and passion drives your actions.
3. Act like you deserve your future.
When people experience success, they often don't believe they deserve what they achieve. You should never allow anyone, or any circumstances convince you that you are less valuable they you know you are. You are worth the money, time, and effort people invest in you. Be confident you are valuable. Not only act as if your future is yours, know you deserve it. Your actions reflect what you believe. Believe what you expect; Expect what you believe.
4. Successful Outcomes are a result of your Thinking.
Your future is what you make. When you experience your outcomes, they will cause you to be a victim or they will allow you to be a victor. Regardless of the circumstances, which we can't control, we are who we are because of the successful outcome which we created. When circumstances don't go the way you expected, you are able to learn and become more successful through them. When your circumstances went better then you expected, you can rejoice in your victory. Either way, you will use every experience as a stepping stone to your next opportunity. Every opportunity leads you to become more significant.
